NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING
The programme was designed to produce Computer Technicians to install, maintain and repair Computer Hardware and peripherals.

Mode of Study: Full Time.
Duration: four (4) Semesters

Objective of the Programme:
Students of the programme should be able to

1 Carry out routine maintenance and repair of computers.
2 Design and map out the layout of computers.
3 Install, set up and operate computers
4 Prepare simple bill of quantities and specifications for computers.
5 Select and use appropriate instruments to carry out simple tests and measurements on all subsystems in a computer and its peripherals.

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements into National Diploma Computer Engineering program are as follows:
A) Five credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings
The five subjects must include English, Mathematics, physics and any other two science subject
B) Five o level credit passes in an NBTE recognized preliminary National Diploma course offered in a Polytechnic or similar post-secondary technical institution. The 5 credit passes must include mathematics physics, and any other two science subject. Candidate must in addition obtain at least a pass in English language.
C) Pass in an engineering trade and credit passes in mathematics and physics and one other subject in National Technical Certificate. Also a pass in English language in the NTCE is mandatory.
